DONKEY SLAUGHTERING

 Two men from Masinga have been arrested by police and are currently held at Kithyoko police station.The two are said to have slaughtered seven donkeys today.Earlier this week several donkeys were slaughtered in Kitui when police cornered the meat at Kanyoonyoo where it was being transported to Nairobi.

Donkey meat cornered in kitui

Donkey meat was cornered in Kitui county on thursday 12/10/2023.The meat was being transported to Nairobi when the police cornered the vehicle that was carrying the meat at Kanyoonyoo.Kitui county court ordered for the destruction of the meat that was a threat to human body.Officers from NEMA were present to ensure that the meat was burned.Security has been heightened to prevent other cases of donkey slaughtering
